It's a funny thing, timing. I was just about to write a post about Ollie, 'The Wonder Baby', as we call him, at 3 months old. Such a calm, easy-going baby. He's asleep by 6pm, wakes once at around 1am/2am and sleeps until 6.30am. Like clockwork. I could honestly count on one hand the number of times I have had that 'Eyes-about-to-fall-out-of-your-head' Tired feeling since he was born. And with 3 kids, including a newborn, I think that's pretty good!
Then there was last night... the worst night ever! He woke 5 times between the hours of 10pm - 4am. Apparently, after I stumbled back to bed and fell asleep, Nick said I was snoring so loudly, it sounded like a freight train roaring through the house! It even woke up Livvie!
In those first few weeks of Oliver's life, when things were a bit chaotic and he was waking twice a night to feed, the effects of sleep deprivation could be seen on all of us. None more so than poor Nick (having to be very hands-on at home and go to work too!) - he actually drove to work one day with a lens popped out of his sunglasses... and he didn't even notice!
How could he not notice?!?!?!
He has since fixed his sunnies and checks them every morning!
Unfortunately, I also wondered out loud to Nick last night, 'Seriously, what happened to the witching hour? We haven't had a fussy baby for weeks!'.
Of course, I don't even have to tell you what type of baby we had this afternoon...
